Sibelius 4 shortlisted for two education resources awards 2006
SIBELIUS SOFTWARE is proud to announce that its market leading Sibelius 4 notation program has been short listed for not one but two of the most sought after awards in the education industry: the Education Resources Awards 2006 in the Secondary Resources & Equipment and Secondary ICT categories. Sibelius fought off tough competition from a variety of educational software and hardware suppliers from across the country to be short-listed for this prestigious accolade, which has become renowned among teaching communities across the world for setting the standards in Educational Resources.
Sibelius 4, which was launched in July 2005, represents a dramatic advance in music software. With some groundbreaking new features including the Worksheet Creator, that no other music notation program can touch, it makes lesson preparation faster and easier than ever, saving teachers hours of time and encouraging students to learn.
Sibelius CEO Jeremy Silver commented, “We are delighted to be shortlisted for these prestigious awards. Developing Sibelius 4 has been an exciting project for us and it is without a doubt our most revolutionary upgrade yet – for both educators and professionals. We collaborated with a wide range of experts from around the world to present a substantial body of educational content and we have been very pleased by the positive reaction of music teachers.”
The Awards, which are organised by Nexus Media Communications, publishers of Specialist Schools Review magazine, and the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA), highlight the quality and diversity of educational products and resources, excellent educational establishments and the most dedicated members of the teaching profession and supplies industry, all working together to encourage the very best in education. Now in their eighth successful year, what makes these Awards unique is that they focus on the resources, services and people that really make a practical impact on learning and the day-to-day work of the teachers in the classroom.
